The club was formed in 2005 when Gaz Stephenson, Si Collins, Andy Cole and Tom Cuddy decided not to continue travelling to Rochdale with the Sportsman Spartans. They opted to form a team in West Leeds based at their local pub, The Dragon. After a short while a committee was formed and plans were laid for the future hopes and ambitions of the club. The initial aim was to form the team and compete reasonably in Div.6. Things snowballed and the first years success story was beyond anyones wildest dreams. The league title was won and two cup finals reached, winning the Bartlett Insurance cup at Bus Vale against Div.3 Champions Morley Borough. Our next aim is to make the club financially stable and able to compete for at least the next five years. We are well on our way to achieving this, and the team are still competing at the top end of the table. Our thanks go to everyone who has contributed time, money, and effort to the cause.

In 2006/07 season the club finished a very creditable 4th in Div.4 surprising a few who thought we might struggle with a small squad. Finances were a bit of a struggle but we have managed to keep our heads above water.

Further signings were made and in 2007/08 we finished as Champions of Pennine Div.4. Two league titles, two promotions, and financially viable after 3 years. You could say things are going to plan !! Division three next year and again we will be hoping to survive and compete well. Anything else will be a bonus.
